1000+ lines of code.
That’s what happens when you make the clickity-clack sound all day long.
My hands hurt. I’m going to go drink.

Shit I shipped in 2010.
While I’m procrastinating shipping a website by the new year, I ran across Seth Godin’s year-end retrospective that outlined the things he shipped in 2010. He encouraged sharing one’s own list, so in the spirit of being scared to death of fucking up my current task, here’s a list of things I actually accomplished:
Launched the YET TO BE NAMED PODCAST in January with my...

Morning Reboot
None of us slept well last night.
Nathan wouldn’t go to sleep so we let him sleep on my side of the bed while I finished some editing. He wet said side of bed 5 minutes before I was to lay in it. All our spare sheets were in the laundry room, so Robin slept on blankets on top of the mattress while I slept on the couch since my side was drying from a quick hit of Resolve and Febreze.

Truthful Tuesday: Stillwater
When coming to visit my family for any occasion, the standard itinerary for the visit is to just lay around the house and watch TV the whole time. Or, at least that’s what it turns out to be… my parents are pretty big homebodies.

A very special Christmas Message from Jeremy.
I thought I would take a moment before the full-on madness of whatever family holiday gatherings so many of us are about to endure and raise a glass to you, my creative friends.
Here’s hoping your year has been filled with all the success you wanted. And, if it hasn’t, I give you carte blanche to kick 2010 in the nuts.
If you don’t want to be your boss, that’s a huge sign that you need to GET OUT.

I remember the first time I realized this. Absolutely hits you like a hammer.

tcN Skype Edition: Ethan Marcotte
As Season 2 of the COCKTAIL NAPKIN begins to wind down, I bring you an interview with Ethan Marcotte, one of the brightest minds in standards-based web design. You might recognize his name as being the foremost proponent of responsive design.
We talk about responsive design, the future of CSS frameworks that might support this notion, speaking at An Event...
An update on Things cloud sync →
weselec:
This morning I noted the shitty reviews Things is now receiving, and quite coincidentally, Cultured Code, maker of Things, has published an update on the product’s future. This is remarkable because they hardly ever blog.
Funny. Shane’s original post made me realize that even though I gave Things a good run and found some things that I really liked about it, it was time to dust...
It is done. Adieu, Quicksilver.
merlin:
It was a good run. So long, old friend.
I love LaunchBar—but she’ll never be another you.

What? No Alfred?
That’s where I went when Quicksilver ran its last CPU cycle for me in August.

I’m sipping bourbon and watching Madagascar for the umpteenth time. Good as any other time to fish for questions/comments.
Come on. Make daddy’s Saturday.
